Customer Reviews of Chi Vitalizer Chi MachineCustomer Review: Amazing Machine!! Summary: 4 Stars
As usual, I was very skeptic about this machine, especially for the chunk of money I was about to pay for it.
I am proud to say that it is everything the ad says!! I have neck and shoulder problems often, usually from stress. When I get home from work, it is the second thing I do, only after getting in comfortable clothes before I start my daily treatment.
I do sleep better and feel better as a whole.
I would recommend this product.
Customer Review: Not For Me Summary: 3 Stars
I wasn't able to use this product because I have double-jointed knees, and so when my ankles were in those "stirrups", my knees bowed and were thrown out of whack by the motion. If I had normal knees, I'm sure it would have been fine. The return was relatively easy, but they charge a 15% re-stocking fee, so I didn't get all my money back. Very nice people, though, no problems.
Customer Review: Bruised ankles no fun! Summary: 2 Stars
I loved the idea of this product, but the reality is not so great. Even though the product description says the ankle rest is padded, it is certainly not SOFT padding. After only two uses, my ankles started to bruise and continued use only made it worse. I have now tried thick padded socks as well as bubble wrap to try to protect my ankles, but it is not enough. My next attempt will be to try to tape sponges to my ankles to cushion them. And this is on the lowest setting! If that doesn't work, I don't think I can continue to use this product, which would make it an expensive white elephant in my closet. What a shame!
Customer Review: Ankle rest is badly designed Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this machine a week ago and like other reviewers I am now suffering ankle soreness, especially on the higher therapeutic speeds as recommended by the inventor Dr Inuoe. I think the problems are that the distance between the ankle rests is too narrow and the padding is inadequate. I'm of average build but the feet are forced too closely together out of parallel and this causes a pressure spot on the outside of the ankle where it enters the cradle. I've tried adding extra padding, but then the ankles aren't supported properly and are thrown around more, which could cause other problems. I think it's a basic design flaw which if it causes injury you would have a right to get redress. It's a pity because this machine is sold at a reasonable price for home use. The 'proper' machine by Sun Ancon seems to be aimed at professional use and is accordingly highly priced. When I was researching prior to buying I was a bit cynical about Sun Ancon's protestations that these cheaper machines could cause injury, now I am beginning to think they have a point!
**extra comment** since posting my review I have also noticed that the padding on the ankle rest seems harder on one side. It's becoming too painful to use so it's going back. I'm reducing the rating from two stars to to one as it's unusable.
