The seed packets do not come with instructions. Instead they say to "see instructions for growing chia herb garden" which is a kit that comes with a special chia growing sponge. I just used regular clay pots and growing soil and sprinkled the seeds on top. This worked well. I got good results from 4 out of 5 herbs I planted within days. The parsley is lagging behind the rest but it has started to perk up. If you do not have pots and soil you should probably get the kit with sponge. It is a nice addition to my kitchen window sill garden.
