This personal shaver is nice to use. I am a male and as a result- razors and other shavers tend to "snag" on bumps and hair folicles causing very uncomfortable nicks, scratches and bleeding.
If you use this shaver (men) it is vital you use a personal clipper first to get hair as short as possible. Then use this shaver with a SMALL amount of shaving talc. I tend to use the talc in sections; upper body, upper groin, testicles and leg grooves, then tailend last (blushes).
I use SLOW one direction strokes (against the hair), go back over the area using SLOW circular strokes then using directional strokes again dragging my fingers in front of the razor. It takes me about a half hour to completely feel smooth but *shrug* anything good takes time *smirk*
When doing the testicles and area between legs to rectum..... make sure you use LIGHT strokes and be very careful with seams- they will catch even on the fine screen and bleed like a bugger.
I rarely use talc after but I guess that is a personal preference. Sometimes if I feel a bit itchy along my uppper groin I will use a bit of skin softener... perfumeless.
This shaver is very nice to use with a little practice. Beats the hell outa a razor or shaver for face! I highly recommend this shaver assuming one knows how to use one and is willing to take their time shaving.

I read a number of complaints from people that dropped theirs and broke it and are complaining that it works but it broke... Well this product works great on the pubes. I have had mine for years but don't shave more than once a month. I clean it by washing out the head with water, which opens, and then closing it and applying clipper oil while running it. I have had a backup for years and have not opened it yet. Hairs can catch and pull causing pain or bleeding but it doesn't happen more than a couple times which is tolerable considering how good a job this litter trimmer does. I feel completely comfortable using it and the hair length it leaves is just long enough not to cause a rash. If I could find a more expensive product that does a better job and was more robust; sure I would buy it but I have not found one yet. Improvements would be things like having a more powerful motor which I assume would prevent any random hairs catching and again a more robust body so if dropped it is fine. You could easily rig it with two AA batteries or a low voltage power cube to get more power but it isn't really necessary.Customer Review: A recommended trimmer

This trimmer/shaver is noting too fancy but it gets the job done right. I use this regularly. It shaves very close to the surface and prevents ingrown hair. It is easy to manage with hardly any nicks or pulling on your hair. Although there were a few times that this pulled on my hair but nothing too serious because I was in a rushing this process.
This product is not ideal for you if you want to adjust the trimmer to cut at a certain hair length. I doubt you would want some design on your pubic area but whatever floats your boat.
Just apply some baby powder to the area before you start shaving. You don't get the itchy feeling afterward except a nice smooth skin. Safe to use around the penis with no trouble at all. I never tried using this during the showers nor would I want to. Good product overall.
P.S. The battery I received along with this shaver died out after one use :( so make sure you have a double A battery lying around. Or you do what I do and just borrow a battery from the remote when you need to use this shaver. Replace it after you're done and voila!

This is a fantastic trimmer/shaver and it is the one I have been searching for for years. I have used similar models that are not T shaped by Conair and other brands and they are terrible in every way. It was awkward to shave in many places, it would cut, the batteries didn't last (one such device I had to change the battery once a week to keep it up to speed!). Not so with the Shavy Femini. The head is bigger so it grabs more hair and you get done faster, it does not cut, and it trims remarkably close which is fantastic. I have owned it since early September and the original battery is still going strong. It also works great for the face, though it will not be as close as with a traditional blade--but no irritation. It's also great for "intimate" areas, as it is designed. Just a fantastic all purpose trimmer at a very competitive price with good Seiko Japanese quality--this isn't "Made in China" junk.Customer Review: Yes Guys This Is The One

This is the first review I have written among the hundreds of items I have purchased over the years here at Amazon. I am so pleased with this product I just felt compelled to write. First... note I am a guy, and yes I like to keep my personal space tidy (my wife loves it) and have been searching for an easy way to do this for years. Every product of this type I have tried that claimed would not cut or nick you has been bogus. I am here to tell you this one isn't. This product has given me incredible confidence for this task. It will not nick or cut you and gets close enough to matter. If you have been searching for something like this, the reviews don't lie, this product is outstanding and I highly recommend it. As a side note, again for the guys I recommend getting the T-Shape handle version instead of the straight one, it makes reach and maneuvering much easier.
