i hear people rave about this product. i am not one of them. ciba is trying to get its miraflow users to switch to clear care. they even put samples in with bottle of aosept disinfectant. they are trying to discontinue miraflow. it's honestly been disasterous for people who cant use anything else.
so, i tried this clear care when i got a sample with my aosept disinfectant. and i followed the instructions to a t. even with proper rinsing using saline, i STILL had burning sensations in my eye. i've even gotten a nasty discharge from my eye from using this stuff and it will last for a few days. not only does it not clean very well (i even tried rubbing, like miraflow to see if that would help- it didnt) it irritates my eyes like crazy! turns out i'm allergic to the cleaning agent, pluronic 40.
if you have sensitive eyes, stick with miraflow. i know i will be. i dont mind having to rub in order to have clean lenses that dont burn my eyes. there's a reason they give away a free sample clear care when you buy aosept...

Do yourself a favor and just don't buy this. In case you haven't noticed, it does have special instructions and if you don't follow them properly, you will burn the hell out of your eye. And it does hurt like hell. And for those of you that say, "oh well, why don't you just be careful and follow directions properly"-- look. We're not all saints, nor are we perfect. But this product has HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. You know, the stuff that bleaches and disinfects? WHY on earth would you put even 3% solution in a product having to do with something you put in your eyes? Just don't do it. I thought I would be the careful one, well, let me tell you. It only took one minor slip up for me to end up looking like I got punched in the eye. Just stay with the regular solution that stay in the flat cases and that don't have any possibilities of burning your eye.Customer Review: Been using a long time...had a major problem

We have been using this product for quite a few months. This morning my son put his contact in and it stung so bad he couldn't stand it. I myself put it in the cleaning solution last night. It was there over 12 hours, and to have it sting so bad after that long of a period is a major defect. I know you don't put it directly in your eye, but that is not what we did. We pulled it from the cleaning solution. I am so disgusted with the product. We have had no problems until now, but that is a major problem!
Note: I have read many reviews where people put the solution directly in their eye. There is a red top to remind you not to do that. In this case, the contacts had been sitting in the solution overnight for almost 12 hours, it should not have stung.

A product like this really should not be sold in stores. I'm a firefigher and take naps occasionally during the day if I've had a late night at work. A nap will never last more than 2 hours, so after waking up I put in my lenses and wow! Did I regret waking up. There are many people out there who can't leave their lenses in the case for more than 6 hours. what happens if you think you're going to go to sleep and then need to wake up suddenly to attend a call, like in my case? Clearly there are enough people that are grown adults, capable of following instructions who have burned their eyes. Such a dangerous product should not be on the shelves of stores, or as some have said, the bottle needs to be labeled differently.
