This bathroom water filter is AWESOME! Our children are always thirsty while upstairs where we do not have filtered water. I was tired of running down the stairs to get filtered water from the kitchen or reluctantly letting them fill their cups with potentially dangerous contaminated water at the bathroom sink. The filter unit was easy to install (took about 2 minutes) and came with 2 rubber washers and attachements to ensure a proper fit for most bathroom sinks. There is a lever on the unit that when pulled forward turns on the water filter for drinking or teeth brushing. The filtered water flows through a small hole on the left side with a stream the same size you'd find on a fridge. When the lever is pushed back the filter turns off (for wandwashing, etc) and the water is streamed through a normal size bathroom sink aerator in the middle of the unit. The aerator is quiet and actually flows much nicer than the aerator that came off our sink for the filter installation. A small green light turns on to indicate when the filter is in use (and the instructions say it will turn red when the filter is expired).
Before purchasing this filter I wanted to know that it actually filtered out contaminants, but I couldn't find that information on the Amazon listing. I found an article [...] about Clear Flow's filters that states "All product units are certified by NSF International to reduce many common contaminants affecting the taste and healthfulness of water, such as chlorine, lead, cysts, mercury, asbestos and more." Our bathroom water now tastes great, and at a minimum I can tell that the chlorine has been filtered out. I like that these disposable filters are more eco-friendly than the large replaceable filters in water pitchers. Also, the little unit is very portable and would be easy to travel with and install on any other sink.
The Clear Flow Long Life Disposable Bath Filter fit our needs perfectly and the sale price on Amazon was great! I highly recommend this product to anyone who desires to have filtered water in their bathroom for drinking or brushing teeth. I give this handy invention an A+.
