Customer Reviews of Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test, 4 Count (Packaging May Vary)Customer Review: Could not get easier to read! Summary: 5 Stars
Since my husband and I are trying to start a family, I have had my fair share of experience with different pregnancy tests. I consider myself to be a fairly smart person, but some of these things are so complicated that I have to read the directions a couple of times to make sure I understand. There are ones that require you to urinate into a cup and then hold the absorbent tip in it for a certain amount of time. There are others that have a complicated reading system so I have to refer back to the box to understand my result. One time I bought a multipack, but since I was trying to take up less space in the bathroom cabinet I took the tests out of the box, placed the directions in the drawer, and tossed the box. Of course, by the time I took a test, the directions has disappeared and I had no idea what I was looking at - was I supposed to have one line or two? Which box was the "result" and which box was the "control"? I ended up having to look it up online just to find out my result.
These tests are way easier. Just urinate on the tip, set it down, and wait. You don't have to worry about how many lines there are in the result. You don't have to worry about telling the result and control apart. You don't have to decide if that is really a minus sign or if that faint line makes it a plus. The answer is right there in the digital readout. There is no need to refer back to the manual or anything else. Just relax and wait.
Customer Review: My Life is About to Change Dramatically Summary: 5 Stars
It took me awhile to write this report because quite frankly testing it out takes a while. The first thing I had to do was attempt to get my wife pregnant and I'm not making this up. We get three sticks giving us three attempts. The best test would be to have a negative result and a positive result to verify the accuracy. On our first attempt my wife went it to the privacy of the bathroom to use the pregnancy test. After talking care of her part she put on the cap to keep it clean and handed me the clearblue stick. I nervously turned it over only to be greeted with a very easy to read `Not Pregnant'. I can confirm that that pregnancy test was indeed accurate. A month later we tried again. By and large my wife was very pleased with the Clearblue pregnancy test. It's very easy to use and extremely easy to read. Her only complaint was that the portion that you pee on is a bit short and you need to be very careful. The test would work even if you splash a bit but if you're planning on handing it to your husband you like to keep it clean. The result of the second month was `Pregnant' and I can confirm that the test was correct again. This will be our first child so it's quite exciting. I actually considered keeping the test stick but the `Pregnant' indicator only shows for about a day. Of all the Vine Voice products I've gotten this is one I won't forget. Great, easy to use product that I highly recommend.
Customer Review: Good Product Summary: 5 Stars
I wish that I could comment on the accuracy. The only way to do that would be to perform hundreds of tests with many different subjects. Not practical. I can only tell you that it was accurate for us.
I know that improper use could cause the device to not function properly. The instructions are specific about keeping the testing tip oriented properly (probably has something to do with gravity) and the exact time to expose the tip depending on how you take the sample. I wonder if everyone who has had problems with the device read and followed the instructions. The instructions even give you a number to call if the device does not appear to perform properly.
We've used two other brands and what I remember about them is that reading them was a tad less obvious. If I recall correctly, we had to look for a colored line or some other sort of symbol to appear. One of them was supposed to render a result after a given amount of time - but after that time elapses and nothing has happened, how do you know of the device needs more time, whether it's finished, or whether you did something wrong? This product says in plain English, "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". There is even an hourglass icon that blinks to indicate that it is processing (working).
It works (for us) and it's the simplest device we have used so far. What's not to like?
Customer Review: Easy and Clear Results, No False Positive Here Summary: 5 Stars
When my period was 3 days late, I bought a Target brand HPT and took it on Tuesday. I was confused by the results. After 3-5 minutes there was a faint second line but I wasn't sure if it was positive or just a poor quality test. I decided to buy the 2-pack Clear Blue Easy Digital pregnancy test on Thursday to eliminate any confusion. I was shocked to see the work PREGNANT after only 1 minute when I took the test on Thursday night. After reading all the reviews here about false positives, I decided to use the second test on Friday morning. That one was also positive. Still doubting the accuracy I bought an E.P.T. brand and used it on Saturday morning. Again it was positive. I have a doctor's appt on Wednesday to confirm by blood test, but I'm pretty sure I know the tests were accurate.
I wanted to say the digital tests were easy to read and there was no guess work involved. I got the 2-pack at Target for only $10.59. Maybe the folks at Clear Blue Easy have improved the digital tests since most of these reviews are from 2007/2008. Hope this comment helps someone.
Customer Review: Test worked great for me! Summary: 5 Stars
I had some spotting at 11 days past ovulation and mistook it as the beginning of my period. When two days had passed without further bleeding and with a raised temperature still, I took this test in the morning. After a few minutes, the Positive clearly showed up. It was really sweet to show it to my husband and not have to explain the test like I would have with a test with lines (this is our first child).
After reading the reviews today, though, I started panicking and wondering if the test was wrong. I ran to the drugstore and bought a test with the two lines (First Response) and took the test in the afternoon. I got two lines on that test as well, so I know the first was correct.
It's a horrible thing to think that you're pregnant and find out that you aren't, and these women all have my sympathy. However, I had a great experience with the test and find it very accurate (I used one last cycle and got a Not Pregnant a day before my period started, so it worked well both times.)
