Customer Review: Irregular cycles but Pregnant Month 2 with Clear Blue

I'm 36 and I've always had irregular cycles, even when on the pill, and so this past April when my husband and I started trying to conceive I knew that it might take some time.
I started keeping track of my cycles: 26 days, 25 days, 15 days, 28 days, 21 days. Ugh. After a few months of no results I decided to go ahead and purchase the Clear Blue monitor thinking that it could at least help me to pinpoint my peaks even if the 'planning' portion of the software in it was likely to be useless given my varying cycles.
1st Month: I started Day 1 on July 10 and on Day 6 the meter told me to test. I had high days from Day 6-14 and then my first peak day on the 15th and the 16th(though for the 16th I was not asked to test (as I had finished my 10test on the 15th). Another high day on the 17th and then low until my next period at Day 21.
2nd Month: Once again I started to test on Day 6. The showing on this second month was low on Day 6-8 then on Day 9 I got a peak reading(day 10 as well). Day 11 was high and then low readings until I finished the 10-day supply. Note that I had the flashing 'm' start on day 16 (I guess the machine thought that given my peak was on day 9 my period should start around a week after.)
Today marks Day 28 since my last period started(still have a flashing 'm') and I just took a pregancy test which was positive! I'm ecstatic.
I would highly recommend this monitor as it took the guesswork out of figuring out when I was ovulating and all with minimal effort!

When my husband and I decided that we may start trying for baby #1, I did all of the research I could to increase our chances of becoming pregnant. I have several friends who experienced fertility problems, so wanted to be well informed.
I decided to purchase the CBEFM after reading all of the positive reviews on Amazon, and promised myself that I would write a review if I was pleased with the results.
We decided that we would start "trying" in March, so I started using the monitor in February to let it get used to my cycle (which is consistently 27-28 days). We did not get pregnant in March or April after trying halfheartedly.
I decided in May that I would get serious about "trying" at the right times. I had 5 morning readings of high fertility. On the 5th day, I had EWCM in the afternoon so decided that it may be the right time. We tried that night, and I got a peak reading the following morning. We also tried the next night as I was positive our timing was right. Two weeks later, I found out that we were pregnant. Now I'm almost 15 weeks and very happy that I chose the CBEFM to help us reach our goal.
I must also add that after our unsuccessful months, I got advice from my good friend's wife. She told me that after trying, I needed to "sleep on it". The literal interpretation wouldn't have worked for me, so I made sure to stay put, legs up, for a least an hour each time. Sorry if this is too personal, but it worked for me (and made my husband laugh quite a bit).

I purchased this monitor at the recommendation of a friend who was successful in getting pregnant on her 2nd month trying. I bought it only after about a year of "not avoiding" pregnancy and about six months of really trying...charting cycles etc. I figured it'd work like it did for my friend. As some have mentioned, the first month is about teaching the monitor your cycle... much to my surprise my first month was THE month. I thought the monitor wasn't functioning properly because it said I was at the peak of my ovulation when I expected it to tell me I was getting close and then at my peak. About 3 weeks later, a Clearblue Easy pregnancy test said "pregnant". Not only was I pregnant, but I conceived twin fraternal girls. I highly recommend this product to people who don't have the patience or time to try for months (most of my professional friends who got married in their 30s). Granted, it's not going to work for everyone, but it should work for most that have no issues with fertility, just bad timing.
Unfortunately, I know 3 people over 35 who used this product for a long time and have not been able to conceived. At least one has some been unable to maintain a pregnancy even with the help of a doctor so we know it wasn't that the monitor didn't work. My monitor was much more expensive when I bought it about 3 1/2 years ago and sadly only got used one time, but it sits there waiting for me to have the courage to get pregnant again... wish it could warn me as to how many eggs I was ovulating at a time :)

Hi, I bought the fertility monitor lasted month and I'm pregnant after using it for just 1 time. Me and my hubby been trying for 3 months with no success because my period vary from 3 days or less every month. After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to try the monitor so we can conceive faster. On day four of my cycle, I started the monitor and started testing on day 6. After one week, I got two bars for 10 or more days straight. I was so worry and told my hubby, I don't think I will get my peak days because my period was suppose to come in a week or so. Maybe, I'm not ovulating this month. Closed to the end of my cycle, the bar go back to 1 bar instead of going up to 3 bars. Me and my hubby was really disappointed that we didn't get 3 bars however we been intimate every 2 days starting from when the monitor show 2 bars. Soon enough, I found out I'm conceived our dream baby 1 day after i missed my period. I'm 6 weeks along now. I'm going in for my first prenatal visit this week. So if you buy this monitor when it show 2 bars, start being intimate every other day or every two days til the end of your cycle. There is a really high chance you will conceive like me. I never though I would this month since the monitor didn't detect my ovulation (3 bars) but I'm pregnant. So it not necessary you need 3 bars I think. The monitor might missed it so don't give up if you don't see the 3 bars. Continue having intercourse once you see the 2 high bar. I hope my review help. :) goodluck everyone. Ok, This is unbelieveable, but I swore if it worked I would write a review and I have never reviewed a product in my life.
My husband and I dated for 10 years before getting married and wanted to start our family right away. I assumed it would be so easy to ge pregnant, since all you do is have unprotected sex, HA...... I was wrong.
We tried regular sex for a few months, then OV predictor kits with no result.
I saw my Dr in Jan 2011 and he sent me for a sonogram and told me I had a cyst blocking my ovary and said I wouldnt be able to have children until this was removed ( Meanwhile I had purchased the fertility machine in Dec )
It had so happened on that day of bad news according to the machine I was OV ( Day 16 and Day 17 )
So I asked the Dr if I should have sex anyways, he said "go for it" , If you get Pregnant great, but I think your gonna need some help.
So ignoring the Dr and having the sex My husband and I decided to try since we had spent the money on the machine and why the heck not ?
This was cycle one of the machine anyways, so I figured if it didnt work we would just keep trying anyways. Low and behold, and to what I call some kind of miracle, I got my BFP on 3/4/2011 and I am almost 5 weeks along !!!
So to you non beleivers -- it works, its worth the one time investment, and I am definetly keeping my machine for my next child !!
I can't believe still that it worked !
