Customer Review: Best tool short of actual fertility drug treatments

If you have a problem with fertility or think you do, you need to see a specialist, PERIOD. Specialists will order tests for you to determine your ovarian reserve and your partner's semen quality. These tests are important, and if you have a hormonal problem, no ovulation kit is going to cure you. In other words, this fertility monitor is not a panacea.
Go see your doctor about a fertility workup if you are having problems conceiving.
If you are healthy and normal, with regular cycles and ovulation, then this little gadget is well worth the money. Think of it as an investment--are your children worth it? What is a piddly $150-$200 if it helps you bring children into your lives?
Some couples undergoing IVF have spent tens of thousands of dollars to achieve their dream of a child. Just keep perspective.
I would definitely recommend this monitor to anyone who is trying to conceive simply because it works. Obviously you need to follow the instructions, but this monitor allowed me to know when I was ovulating and when having sex would most likely lead to conception. The first time I followed the monitor schedule I was able to conceive. I'm not saying that is representative of everyone's experience, but if you are using the monitor correctly and time your intercourse to the peak and near-peak days, you should be able to conceive. If you have problems conceiving, you should see a fertility specialist/reproductive endocrinologist.

Although it seemed I had a 28 day cycle that would be easy to predict ovulation, I purchased the monitor anyways. I'm so glad I did, because after purchasing it and waiting a few months before TTC, I had a 35 day long cycle which definitely would have made it difficult for us to pinpoint the day of ovulation without the monitor. After reading some of the reviews of some women saying they didn't get a "peak" day the first month of using the machine, I decided even if the machine just said high, we would TTC anyways. Well, it started saying high on day 6 of my cycle and continued to do so for a couple of weeks, so we started trying at day 14 without getting a "peak" signal. I paid close attention to my CM and was sure I was ovulating then, so we BD that entire week. Just when I thought I definitely wasn't ovulating, on day 21 I got a "peak", so we BD that night and the next. Well, all of that BDing seemed to work, because we got pregnant the first month. I don't know if it was from trying around day 14 and every night after for a few days, or from on day 21 and 22, but if it was from ovulating later in my cycle than what I thought, then this machine definitely helped us to get pregnant because we would have stopped trying by then. Although it was a little expensive, I figured my sisters could always use it if they had any difficulty, and the price definitely seems worth it to have a couple babies on our own quicker, as well as a few nieces and nephews :)Customer Review: Last resort before fertility testing and...

IT WORKED! We have been TTC for 11 months with a very early miscarriage 3 months ago. I just couldn't wait another 8 months to get pregnant again. My sister suggested this monitor. Said she got pregnant the 2nd month using it. I really thought everyone that wrote these reviews must live in a magical land that it worked so well. But, here I am writing the same kind of positive review.
I used the monitor initially for one month taking a break from "trying" so that it could get used to my body and because we needed a break for our mental health. The second month using it, we started trying again and I found out I am pregnant. The monitor helped me realized that I was ovulating about 5-6 days later than I thought I was for 10 MONTHS!. And, like many couples, after BD several days in a row, we were so tired, we are pretty sure we didn't BD ONCE in 10 months during the time I was ACTUALLY ovulating because we had given up for the month by then. By the way, I was using the ovulation predictor kits and I was interpreting them wrong about when I was ovulating. There is no misinterpreting this monitor. It's either babymaking time or it's not. There was no guessing and not worry that we were "missing the egg."
It really took the pressure off. Of course, I'm not out of the woods as far as miscarriage is concerned, but I'm so happy it was so EASY to conceive FINALLY after months of frustration. Good luck!

I am 40 years old and my husband is 43 years old. I worried whether I can get pregant because of my age.I made a puchase immediately after reading over 200 reviews on ClearBlue Monitor. I started using it in August 2010. I got 3 or 4 Highs before Peak in each different month. However, I got Peak on 13th and 14th followed by a High and Low in every month. I doubted whether the monitor is accurate because I see others get Peak in different days in different months. On Dec 22nd, two days after expected period, I took the pregancy test and got a positive reslut. My husband and I are so happy.
I also record my Basal Temperture every morning. I draw a temperture chart every month. This gives me a way to verify the test results from Clearblue Montior. I strongly recommend the book of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It provides detailed info about how to draw the temperture chart.... There are many smaple charts in the book that help you identify problems.
I am so glad I bought the of Taking charge of Your Fertility and used Clearblue Easy Fertility Mointor before investig big money in seeing doctors and having lots of medical tests.
I wanted to thank to all the people who wrote reviews. Without your info, I was not able to know about this wonderful product. I am writing a review here to encourage people don't give up before you make every try. Good luck!

My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for six months. My BBT seemed too inconsistent to be helpful and LH strips hadn't improved our success. Not knowing how long it would take to conceive, we decided to purchase the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor. Though expensive, we thought it would be worth it in the long run since the computer learns your cycles. As it turned out, the fertility monitor was worth it in the short run. We conceived our first month using the monitor. I discovered my estrogen surge was very early and that I ovulated earlier than I thought.
The monitor was so easy to use and having a machine pinpoint peak fertility made everything much simpler. No more fumbling around with a thermometer first thing in the morning and trying to accurately interpret the LH strips! One of the best parts of using the monitor is that it allowed me to relax. You just sit back and do what it says. It keeps track of everything. I can honestly say it is worth every penny.
UPDATE: After three months of trying without success for our second child I decided to get out the monitor. I was almost three years older and thought there was no way I would get pregnant on the first try with the monitor. I was wrong! It worked like a charm the first month. Now we have a healthy, happy 6-month-old!
