I have a history of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and have had irregular periods in the past. Due to eating habits and age (I guess) my periods have seemed to regulate a little more during the past few years. Even though they've regulated, I never really knew if I ovulated or not. Well I'm 35 and newly married. I don't have time to take my temp, chart, record, investigate my CM, take cheap ovulation tests, etc. We wanted to try for a baby right away so I purchased this monitor and the test sticks. The thought of a machine telling me in black and white if/when I was ovulating sounded like heaven compared to the other time-consuming and uncertain ways.
Our first attempt with the monitor was in January of 2011. I started using the monitor on the 1st day of my period. I just used it as the directions instructed. We baby-danced on both of the "peak" days and I just found out that we're 4 weeks pregnant!!
It worked for this 35 year old PCOS sufferer. The odds were against me to conceive this quickly - and we were successful after the first attempt thanks to this monitor! The monitor pretty much spoon-fed us on when to conceive. Thank you Clearblue Easy!! It really was EASY!

This is my second cycle using the CBEFM. I had a tubal reversal a few months ago (I'm TTC # 4..my husband TTC # 1), and the dr's who performed the surgery highly suggested the use of this monitor. My husband is coming from overseas very soon...and I'm anxious to see whether or not we conceive quickly. For me, I've had a few months so that the monitor can "learn" my cycle before actively TTC which is good. The monitor is easy to use..so far I've only used the standard 10 sticks per cycle (I stocked up on sticks well beforehand just in case!). The first cycle I got 0 high days before Peak..it went straight to Peak (2 days)then 1 high day afterwards. I was kinda confused at not having high days before the Peak reading..then figured maybe I need to use the dip method instead of directly peeing on the stick. The second month I had 3 high days followed by 2 Peak days and right now testing tomorrow to see the last High day. So, I'm thinking this monitor is getting my cycles together.The price of the monitor is a bit high, but I think it's well worth it to have the baby we so want to have! I give this monitor 5 stars! I've only used the monitor once and it was super easy to use. I had used opk's for over a yr, but they are hard to interpret, this monitor is clear blue easy just like it says, and it took a lot of stress off us. I got my first BFP ever in my life (I'm early 30s) after using this monitor in combo with preseed (as advised by some other reviewers). We'd been ttc for 16mos, so I took 8 tests-diff brands all being pos before I believed it. Unfortunately, I got u/s and blood tests this a.m. and the dr. confirmed a miscarriage (4wks2days). Yes, its disappointing, but strangely not as disappointing for me personally as getting my AF again, and it helped that it happened early..I actually have more hope now b/c at least I know something more about my situation for a change--and I don't want to just be pregnant, I want a healthy pregnancy...God knows what is best, not me. So as odd as it may sound, its comforting for "infertile" me to even just have a dr confirm that I had actually had a preg after soooo long! God has a plan for each of us and He blesses us all in different ways at different times. I have used the charting methods outlined in Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler to both avoid pregnancy and conceive.
When I purchased this monitor while trying to conceive my 3rd child, I wanted to use it in addition to my charting as something to help me along with acheiving pregnancy. I'd read a lot of great reviews on it and thought the monitor sounded great. I was not disappointed! I conceived my first cycle using it. Seeing that egg sign was such a joy, I felt like I hit the jackpot! And it was so nice to have that along with my chart.
My husband had a vasectomy about a year earlier and then we decided to have it reversed. This was our 2nd cycle trying after his reversal.
I plan to use it again if we try for baby number 4.
If you are on the fence about this monitor I really cannot say enough good things about it. It was fun to use, easy to use, very user friendly and can be set up as late as day 6 of your cycle. I have never used the OPK sticks because of the user error factor. With this you do not have that. You urinate on the stick and put it in the machine. The computer takes the guess work out of it for you.

While I am still in my 2ww and have to wait to test, I have to say that this monitor worked awesome for this cycle. This is my first cycle using the monitor, it showed several HIGH days to be followed by 2 PEAK days, 1 more HIGH and then LOW... I also take my temp in the AM and it has been confirmed that I actually ovulated on PEAK day #2. And just to be on the safe side, I backed it with clear blue easy OPK's, nice smilely face on my first PEAK day.
If we weren't successful this cycle then I will be trying next cycle with this monitor. I'd say to anyone TTC, give this monitor a try. After spending all this money on OPK's, microscopes...I would of been better off just using this on the first place.
I'd say BUY IT!
After just 1 month of use we are PREGNANT!! I got my BFP this morning (12 dpo). I am more than excited about it! Just some facts about me... we are on 100mg of clomid on cd2 - cd6. I began testing on cd6 with my first peak on cd12 and ovulation on cd13. I feel that this was an awesome tool in achieving pregnancy b/c we knew when to "try" before we actually ovulated. Its worth the money!
