Customer Review: Beats the hell out of the big-brand competitors

I switched from PowerBar products when I started reading the ingredients, and realized they use refined sugars, which anybody that has an active lifestyle and takes their health seriously knows, it's one of the worst things you can eat before or during exercise. Clif bars (at least the ones I've eaten) use brown rice syrup, which is still sweet, but doesn't jack up your blood sugar and cause you to crash halfway through a run.
They also taste amazingly good. Almost good enough to be eaten as a candy bar, they're just not as sweet or fatty.
Also, they don't contain milk/whey protein, which is a plus if you're like me (allergic). For this reason, there are a couple competitors that use natural ingredients that I never tried, so I can't judge them, but considering my requirements for a bar (healthy with no refined sugars, no dairy, and great taste), this is the only company that's met my standards.
The nice thing is that while they use higher quality ingredients, their prices don't reflect it, at least not relative to similar bars.
I just hope they never sell out and start using junkfood ingredients.

This product is the best tasting meal replacement bar on the market! I aim to eat (5) 300 calorie meals daily to control my weight and fat levels (not an easy task at all) and the Clif Builder's Bar is a part of my daily regimen! The taste is a perfect blend of chocolate and mint and the local Trader Joe's near me is always sold out of this flavor!! As a result, I now buy on monthly subscription so I am guaranteed the product, and the price on Amazon is the best by far anywhere on the planet!
If you are seeking high protein meal replacement with excellent taste, this is your product!
Good luck getting those ripped abs!

It's tough to find all natural protein bars. It's also tough to find protein bars that taste good without being horrible for you (aka glorified candy bars). These are both.
They are fairly calorie heavy, but if you're burning a ton of calories, looking to bulk up, or even just maintaining with reasonable weightlifting and cardio, these are perfect. I look forward to having them, and they helped my wife get her chocolate fix during P90X without giving in and having a fat-laden chocolate bar.
The price for this pack is also unheard of for protein or energy bars, especially if you do subscribe and save.

I am a full time student and while running in between a set of 3 hour long classes, I get by with the mint chocolate Builder's Bar. It tastes so much better than other protein bars, and I've tried everything. I love that I can just throw a few in my bag and know that if I don't have time to get a meal, I can always have one of my bars...and stave off my grumbling stomach.
I haven't yet dealt with the melting issue though. I ordered a box of 12 from Amazon to get a better price than the grocery store and didn't have any freshness issues. At least this time they were good enough for me to order from them again.

As a Chemistry Professor and a healthy-lifestyle enthusiast, cycling to and from work daily, I need a quick-yet-wholesome meal to tie me over through the ten plus hour days. Bravo Clif Bar Creators! This yummy bar is a feast to the tastebuds and a fill for the tummy; I rely on two a day to fuel me to be as interesting as I can be for my many students. As a celiac sufferer who has many other allergies, it is a blessing to have something so satisfying which doesn't have a pay-me-later gastric price; digestability has its benefits! thanks so much for all that you do! keep up the good work!
