This product is GENIUS. It's a little disposable plastic toothbrush with bristles (about the size of a q-tip) with a tiny bit of mint flavored gel inside it. Each little "clamshell" case holds two brushes, each individually wrapped in foil, so you can use one without the other picking up anything weird floating around inside your bag or your pocket.
The mint flavored gel is not toothpaste- it doesn't foam up and it doesn't require any rinsing or water to use. There's even a little flossing tip at the other end. When done brushing, just toss away.
A small complaint was that the mint gel was a *tiny* bit strong (makes you salivate a bit) but no stronger than any of the powerful mints or gums on the market. I was concerned that I'd desperately want to rinse the taste out because I can't imagine NOT rinsing toothpaste, but the flavor and texture is different than toothpaste. For those super sensitive, a quick drink of water will be all it takes to eliminate any powerful flavor.
Another complaint for me is a concern about how "green" the product is. But the truth is, these little "Wisps" are truly tiny. The plastic clamshell packaging can be recycled for those who don't mind toting the packaging back home with them, and because it's so portable, it wouldn't really be an issue.
I see these as a GREAT addition to my bag. No more rooting around for gum or breath mints- I can brush after I eat out and feel like my teeth are truly clean and my breath is fresh. I can also see taking these on flights or day-long trips, maybe even camping (just please bring them back home with you to properly toss!!)
These are NOT a replacement for regular brushing, though- if you're going on vacation, pack a real toothbrush! These are just meant for on the go, but the uses are limitless.
