I was VERY skeptical about ordering OPK "internet cheapies", however after reading some the positive feedback about this product (and trying to ignore the negative side), I decided to order them. Because I have had three miscarriages in the past, my cycles started varying between 26-30 day cycles. I wanted to KNOW for certain when I was ovulating, no more guessing, that's why I decided to start using OPKs. For this product you can use FMU (first morning urine), which I did. You do have to wait 5 mins for the actual result, however I found that even after three minutes the end result was the same as waiting 5 minutes. And yes, these do appear streaky at first, however if you wait the appropriate amount of time, the streak disappears and you can see your line(s) clearly.
I started using these early in my cycle (9/12/10), twice a day, once w/ FMU and then again around 5:30pm. On 9/16/10, w/ FMU, I caught the surge! I was so excited! As the directions state, the test line has to be as dark as or darker than the control line, and mine was just as dark. When I tested again that night, at 5:30pm, my surge had ended. I don't temp, but at the end of the day I definitely had ovulation pain, so I was pretty certain I was ovulating that night.
I wish I could say that I'm PG, but I have to wait two weeks now! This package comes w/ pregnancy tests, which I will be using when the time comes. I'll give you an update on how those went as well. But for now, I definitely recommend this brand of OPKs! It's a great deal for a great product.

For the first few months we were trying to conceive I spent an estimated $400 plus dollars on store-bought HPTs (home pregnancy tests) & OPKs (Ovulation Prediction Kits)...then an 8 month pregnant friend told me she had used the test strip cheapies for both so I have switched over. To ensure I didn't miss my fertile period by using a cheaper product for the first month I used 2 different brands of store bought OPKs plus the cheap OPK test strips and compared the performance of all three (on every day of testing). It worked perfectly (and was actually more sensitive than one of the expensive store brands) so I would absolutely recommend anyone wondering if they should switch over to do so immediately!
P.S Just in case you don't get the instructions (I did) you can apply the same instructions for any other tests - dip for 5 seconds, wait for 5 minutes (although you will usually see a result within a minute or two)etc. For the OPK the test line must be as dark, or darker, than the Control Line (and the Control Line is always the line farthest from the end that you dip in your pee). For the HPT the same rule applies (regarding placement of the Control Line)..and remember a faint test line is a positive! And don't read the results after 5-10 minutes (no matter how tempting it may be!).

I purchased this kit originally because I was going crazy with wanting to take HPTs all the time. (A little excited over here!!!) and also wanted to try out the whole Ovulation Test side of it. I had been on BCPs for years and didn't even know if things were working right...I tried out the Pregnancy test strips (knowing it would be negative) and when I felt it was close to the right time, I tried the Ovulation Test kits. The first few times I was confused and thought that a light test line was positive (confusing it with all the HPTs I had taken!) so when I saw the two dark lines a few days later I was really excited. Just for good measure I took a test a few days later and only had the Control line. In a few weeks I'll be testing out the Pregnancy test for real this time and hoping I get 2 lines!! But, if not, I trust that the Ovulation kit will let me know when the time is right again next month. If you are excited like I am or just like taking "tinkle tests" this is a great accurate alternative to the pricey store stuff. (And yes, I do still have the name brand stuff for when I get a positive test, just to test across brands.) These came in the mail really quick. They were all individually packaged and they came with written directions and there was also directions on the outside of each package. I started using the ovulation tests on cycle day 12 and kept using them everyday until I got a positive. It was very easy to tell a positive test from a negative. I took my first pregnancy test 11 days after I got my positive LH surge (so probaby 9 or 10 dpo) and I got a faint positive!! I was a little worried just because I got a positive so early (never got a postive so early with store bought tests) so I did like 4 or 5 more tests over the next 5 days and each one came back with a little darker positive. I liked that the tests are so cheap so testing 20 million times doesn't cost a fortune. For me, the ovulation and pregnancy tests worked way better than store bought tests. They are very sensitive. Some of the other people complained about it being messy- I wouldn't really say it was messier than using the ones you put in your urine stream, just not as convenient. But you know what you're getting when you buy them.
I would recommend them for anyone trying to get pregnant. I got my positive the first month using them!

I ordered these because they were cheap and there were a lot of them. They are very accurate and the instructions are on the back of each package (how hard it is to figure out that you dip it in pee and wait to read it).
OPK - I had trouble determining if my OV line was darker (I needed to compare them instead of guessing the first few months)so I kept them on a tissue on the back of the toilet for a few days so I could compare. It worked great and was VERY obvious when I got a +. Remember that you don't rely on FMU for OPKs until you get a faint line, then test twice a day. If you only use FMU you may miss your positive. We wound up doing IVF for other reasons so the pg tests came in handy.
Pregnancy tests - These are very sensitive. I got a faint positive only 6 days after my IVF transfer (10 days after retrieval/ovulation). That is 4 days early and 6 days before my scheduled blood test! Most store brands are not that sensitive!!
These are super easy to use and very accurate. If you will go through a lot of OPKs and POAS a lot, these will help cut your costs.
