Customer Review: You get what you pay for

First off I this makes the second unit I bought (gift for a friend) and he loves it as well. I have read other reviews and this is just mine in regards to others and my experience. This item is a convenience based product and should be seen as so. For the price you get more than you bargain for, as it heats up your shaving foam or gel for a smooth shave as well as conditioning the skin. I have read where some have complained about the heat not being high enough. We live in a lawsuit culture here in the U.S. and the heat level being too high or not marked to show how much heat would cause legal liability on the company, which I am sure they considered, so that is the heat issue. The non allowance of using Nivea shaving gel is a downer (never used it myself) but heard great things; however, with all products there are shortfalls, but at least Conair took the liberty to clearly state this on the box to inform you-the consumer that you may make the choice for yourself. In all this is a great product as you can get part of that professional barber/salon facial care for shaving that can go anywhere with you. If the heat is not hot enough or the issue of being informed that your favored gel can not be used then be glad you do not have to buy, but can find another product that suits your satisfaction.
