The mat sticks very well to the tub's surface with the suction cups. It works even better when you get the tub surface wet before sticking it down. The thermal feature also kept the water at a comfortable temperature for as long as I wanted to stay in the tub. I am sure it would cool off after a while, but every bath cools down after you stay in it for a long time. The motor was not very noisy at all, especially because it had such a long hose and cord that I was able to put the motor part outside the bathroom. The only noisy part was all the bubbles coming up into the tub, but it sounded like a whirlpool tub and not louder than that. The bubbles felt really good bubbling up around me. I would really recommend it! We have a small tub so the mat fit perfectly in the bottom. If you had a really big bathtub, it probably wouldn't work as well because the mat is kind of narrow. The motor is very small and convenient to store right in the cabinet in the bathroom. This makes an ordinary bathtub into a very enjoyable experience!
