The neck heater / massager gives comforting relief for tension in the head, neck & upper back. It's not major medical equipment -- don't expect a miracle -- but it sure gives a lot more benefit than a heating pad that you couldn't roll around your neck! I have different massagers for varied aches & pains. It's very useful in Winter after being out in the cold & warming important muscles to 'warm up'.
