This cushion works for me in my car in conjunction with the matching backrest. The seat cushion looked like it was going to be way too bulky for car use but not so.
I also tried both pieces in my task chair at work. I liked them but because I'm always moving around, they did not stay in place so I gave up.
I am small, light, and bony. I do not feel any wires or hard plastic in normal use. However, when I tried them in my task chair, where I sometimes alter my position on the chair, I did feel ridges, The cushion is definitely formed for two round moons and you can't sit on it sideways or cross-legged, etc. I think it is well-cushioned.

I have a 2005 Toyota Prius. For a relatively expensive car, the Prius seats are quite poorly configured. They lack thigh and lumbar support, and are particularly uncomfortable on extended trips. I am using the Ultra Forme seat cushion and it vastly improves the comfort of the seat and solves the thigh support problem. I have tried using it in conjunction with the back seat cushion, but the back seat cushion takes up too much space.Customer Review: lightweight thin cushion

Beats a hard chair, but the foam is way too thin. I can distinctly feel the molded plastic under the foam. This seat is terrible for those who like to sit slightly off center and shift around throughout the day, and sit cross-legged sometimes, like me. I run into the molded plastic all day long. At least my seat and legs don't go numb anymore.
I'm looking to upgrade to the tempurpedic seat cushion now, which is contoured out of heavyweight memory foam with no hard plastic bits.
Although the cushion looks large, and I'm a petite female, it presses against my thighs. Larger females (ie bigger hips & thighs) could find this uncomfortable, as the molded plastic is not particularly forgiving.
This cushion is a fine deal for twenty or so - but don't bite for full price! It's not worth eighty - I am certain there are better choices at that price point. (tempurpedic, unless you need something really lightweight.)
Customer Review: Don't like the feeling of wire beneath

The cushion of my chair became pretty much useless after a half year purchasing the chair, and therefore I started to try putting on chair cushions. The first one I tried was, Obus Forme because of good rating. However, when I tried it, it was disappointing. The cushion itself is not bad, but I can feel the wire beneath, and it is just awkward and not very comfortable for me. Since I have open the package and tried sitting on it, I could not return and have to sell it, but considering shipping and reduced price, there was pretty much no difference if I jut throw it away. I would recommend Memory Foam Seat Rest instead of this.
