I have no complaints! This has been the perfect solution to helping my 1-year-old and 3-year-old (who is a VERY light sleeper) share a room and not wake each other up. We use the white noise setting and they love it! We live in a very small condo and don't have to worry so much about making noise throughout the house while they are sleeping because the noise machine drowns it all out. It is very lightweight and easily portable. We take it to hotels, grandma's house, and anywhere we put the kids to sleep. This is our second Conair Sound Therapy machine. The cricket sound puts us right to sleep. Try it for a week or two and you'll find it "programs" you to sleep. I started traveling so I bought a second one for the hotel to keep out the noise in the hall & room next door. I've read other reviews here that the sound is "electronic". It isn't a perfect high quality recording, but after a few minutes it fades into the background and it doesn't matter any more. That is what it is supposed to do. If you are looking to drown out the sound of your spouse snoring, or perhaps you have other noises that interrupt your sound sleep, THIS IS THE PERFECT PRODUCT. If you have a newborn, you can put on the heartbeat feature and the baby will sleep soundly. For stress, you can listen to the ocean or put on the white noise feature and find deep relaxation. I love it and it works on a timer as well. I put it on when I am going to sleep and it turns itself off after an hour or so. It's wonderful!!! I LOVE this sound machine, it has such a wide variety of noises to choose from, optional timer (I turn the timer off so it will run through the night), it plugs directly into the wall so no need to worry about batteries running out, and it has a volume control.
I am SHOCKED at how expensive the price is on here though. I purchased mine from Walmart for $14! Mind you, it was a year ago, but still why would the price be THAT different? I suggest shopping around!

We used a noise maker for our daughter and it's great she's very good sleeper and if needed can also sleep without a noise maker. now we have a little one and it was even better when he would get up in the middle of the night for feedings she didnt hear him. now they both have noise makers and its great, (they both starting sleeping through the night 2 1/2 to 3months old with a noise maker) . they both listen to the white noise setting.
