My daughter doesn't like the taste. I've tried everything but this one just isn't for her.

This is an edited review-I had to come back to edit my initial review. My daughter really liked this at first. Then she overheard her dad say it tasted like PineSol and then she would not take it anymore. Even refrigerated it tasted like cleaner to me too. Another poster also said that it tasted like lemon Pledge. So, if her dad had not said anything, I don't know if she would have kept taking it or not, but we wound up just throwing it out because no one could stomach it. We have now tried Dr. Sears liquid, Carlson Very Finest Fish oil liquid,Nordic Naturals kids DHA, Coromega in lemon lime and orange, and MorEPA chewables (nastiest!). I am determined to find one that works, and so far Nordic Naturals is the only one she can stand. It just does not have high enough EPA/DHA to me, but I guess it is better than nothing.
Initial Response:
My 10 year old daughter loved the taste of this one. For a long time she took the Nordic Naturals Children's DHA and really liked it, but after I realized it did not have a high amount of DHA I wanted to try something else. We then tried the Dr. Sears liquid omega, and she would take it but said it was disgusting. I tasted it and agreed. The omegas definitely help her stay more calm and she seems to be able to maintain more self control and control over her emotions. She has not been officially diagnosed but seems to suffer from Sensory Integration Disorder with signs of ADD as well. There is a major difference in her when she is taking the omegas. We stopped for about a month and we went back to some pretty out of control behavior. I highly recommend fish oil to parents who have children with these issues. It is beneficial in every way.
Customer Review: It doesn't matter how good it is for them if they wont take it Summary: 2 Stars
I was so excited about this product and even shared the information with the parents group I belong to. When it arrived I gave it to my 6 year old who refused to try it based on the smell. I tried selling it as the taste of a sour gummi worm...no luck. I then offered him some Sprite to get use to the lemon lime flavor...it did get him to taste it, but then he stuck his heel in the sand even more. I mixed it with yogurt...still no luck. I am allergic to fish so I could not taste it myself. Does anyone know if the other flavor is better received?

We tried. OMG, we tried and failed miserably! My 8 y.o. daughter HATES, absolutely hates the taste of this product. I have tried mixing it with honey, sugar and finally resorted to giving her nutella immediately afterwards to rid the taste from her mouth. Since I have had marginal success giving it to her, it has been difficult to test its effectiveness. Seems like a great product, but a God aweful taste.

My 9 y/o daughter really wanted to like this. She tried them by themselves for a couple of days but couldn't stand the taste. She decided to try them in lime or lemon flavored yogurt with hopes it would blend well. She gave that a try for a couple of days too-- but just couldn't stand the taste anymore.
