I've been through several humidifiers in the past couple of years--vicks, medisana, etc. None have been able to fit the bill for minimal cleaning, good vapor and minimal noise. The penguin does. I've owned it for 6 weeks and used it every night with no issue. I just bought one for my sons room to replace the vicks one in there once we run out of filters. There is some white dust, which is to be expected, and if it's really bothersome invest in the cartridge that reduces it. I just wipe it away. I have two penguin humidifiers which I purchased a couple of months ago. For the money I think these are great and simple to use. I did not have any problems with leakage--the key is to make sure that the top is on securely. Also, some minor dripping is to be expected when you take the penguin body off the base--just carry a washcloth with you--no problem.
Super quiet. I think it is just the right size for a bedroom. Easy to clean and fill. I had tried others (honeywell and vicks) and this is by far my favorite!

I haven't been using a humidifier since I was a kid back to 20 years ago. This Crane is supposed to be one of the best in the product line. It works so well -- you wouldn't blame it if it doesn't, simply because it's such a lovely creature.
Pros: quiet, great look
Cons: Filling water is a little inconvenient, you have to carry the upper part to the tap and then put it back with full water. It would be great if there's another option so we can pour water into it w/o taking it apart.

I bought 2 units from Amazon, but one came cracked on the bottom.
It is an excellent humidifier.
It is so quiet I often thought it is off.
One thing users should note is to get it elevated.
The mist doesn't boost so high if you leave it on the floor.
My daughter has serious dry skin so I elevate this next to her bed on top of the desk and you can see the mist gently fall on her face and body while she sleeps.
Great product. Highly recommended.

I got this product a little over a week ago and let me tell you, so far so good! I even notice feeling better when I wake up in the morning!
If you follow the directions and leave the setting on medium the tank lasts for a very long time, I usually turn mine on around 5 pm and it last thru the night and usually turn it off around 12 noon the next day with a little less than 1/2 the tank left.
This is a great product, would definitely recommend to everyone!
