Customer Review: Best humidifier I've ever owned

Cool Mist-This is the first time I've had a cool mist humidifer like this. I love that I don't have to add any salt to the water, like I had to do for my last steam humidifier. And it doesn't need a water filter, and thus no filter maintenance like other cool steam humidifiers!
Settings Used & Refilling-I keep it on the lowest setting and only have to refill it once a day, which is perfect for me!
Noise-On the lowest setting, you have to go right up to it in order to hear it. I don't notice any noise at all when I'm in the room.
Location Placed-I actually put this right on my hardwood floor in my bedroom (reminder: don't put it on carpet). That way it is a little more discreet. The mist goes up into the air, and I've never had any moisture on the floor--I've checked.
Color and Shape-I was a little nervous at first ordering a humidifer in bright green, but I truly love it. It's a little bit fun, but also suprisingly more neutral with my decor than the white and blue version would be. The green color actually works the best in most rooms of my house, despite different color schemes. The drop shape was also a bit different to me at first, but I think it's kind of fun and sophisticated.
Maintenance-You do need to replace the water daily. If it sits, mold WILL start to grow. This did happen once to me, but it was my own fault because I let it sit for a few days with stale water sitting in it. It was super easy to clean back up though. Just a little white vinegar added to some water and everything wiped up easily. This also took care of some hard water deposits starting to develop. Officially, you should clean it with vinegar or something once a week, but if your water isn't too hard I think you could stretch it out quite a bit longer between cleanings. (I've only cleaned it once so far in about a month since I've owned it.) And there's no filter to worry about cleaning!
Value-I think it's a great value! I would definitely recommend it!!

I bought this not only for myself but for my unborn baby girl :) I needed it since the air is so dry here in Texas that it gives me nose bleeds after a night's sleep. This has helped very much with my nasal issues but I have it on my nightstand stacked on top of some books to make sure I'm getting the full benefit of the humidity.
When I received it in the mail- I did notice the plastic smell but it didn't transfer over the water- I've been using it for almost a month and have had no problems with smells.
I think it works great but as far as sound goes- my husband would like absolute silence though he finds the sound tolerable. I sleep just fine with it- it's some white noise and sometimes a decent sized air bubble will float up from the water draining down into the basin making a "gloop-gloop" sound- but even so, I don't mind it at all. But remember I have it right next to me on my nightstand, you probably couldn't hear it if you kept it across the room.
When I bought this I thought it would be holding the 2.5 gallons of water but the whole humidifier only holds a gallon of water- which I found fine since I don't have it on throughout the day and only use it during the night so I only have to refill the water every 2-3 days. I've only used distilled water and have found no problems with any aspect of the product- just stuck to the instructions which are very straight forward to the point of being irritatingly repetitive.
Overall, for the price I wouldn't go with anything else.

After a long search for budget friendly humidifier, I decided to purchase this humidifier and I'm so glad I did it. I did the manual carefully to make sure not to crank the dial to the highest setting, and put it in flat surface so I have no leak or even a drip whatsoever after a month of purchase. The humidifier itself works quietly, but once a while you'll hear the gurgling sound, but it doesn't bother me at all. The indicator light is also a nice feature. The cone shape was awkward at first but it's no big deal, and it even fits our tiny bathroom sink.
The humidifier does last about 10 hr when you fill it full. And I really think it does humidify the room since I can feel the difference when I use it. If I don't use the humidifier, my throat will get dry, I'll have chapped lips, and my nose will bleed a little in the morning, but when I use the humidifier all those things are gone. And not just me, but same thing with my husband, too. Our bedroom is not too big, though, so maybe that's why it does a good job humidifying the room.
All in all, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it!

Just got this today, so who knows what will happen down the road, but this humidifier is great.
-it looks very nice...well constructed. easy to re-direct the steam by twisting the top around. different levels of steam are good.
- is incredibly quiet= an occasional tiny tinkle sound and a very, very soft hum. I have been using a fan based humidifier since my other aero-swiss sonic broke down, and this is a real treat.
- it's a great price. i had a very expensive aeroswiss humidifier break on me 3 times in < yr. And this one is just as good! What was I thinking??!!
- no filter! some of the cheaper humidifiers get pricier when you add in the cost of filter usage. the filter for this is optional and only really needed where the water is hard.
Highly recommended..so far.

This product really works. We used to have a large humidifier in the hallway but it was a bear to clean and you had to put in chemicals to keep bacterial growth down. The smaller Crane versions I put in each separate room. They are easy to clean with just a tablespoon or two of vinegar in 2 qts. of warm water. We also used a digital humidifier recorder to see if it in fact increases the humidity in the room and to make sure it stays within the 40-50% range and it has worked very well. I did go to the fabric store to purchase some plastic to keep in front just in case too much migrated down to the floor but it doesn't seem to be an issue. My son used to have nose bleeds but since using the humidifier that has not been an issue. I would recommend this product.
