It was defective upon arrival. No mist emitted with power on but the fan worked well. I have to return this item. However, the shape is great and the color is really nice to have at home.

I loved this humidifier when I first got it. It was cute, easy to clean, and worked like a charm.

After about two weeks, the whisper quiet motor started sounding like a car that needed a tune up--lots of put-put-putting! From this point on it went back and forth from being relatively quiet to sometimes being loud and noisy, to the point that the motor would wake me up.

Then yesterday, after a routine cleaning, I filled it with water and set it up, and all of the water promptly began streaming out of the base--straight through all of the electrical components and everything. I never bumped the base, dropped any part of it, anything. There were no cracks or anything that I could see, nothing obvious. Maybe a design flaw? I have no idea what happened to it but am not tempted to plug it in again and see.

I'd give this one star except the product did work--not always great but pretty good, and I really liked it. I'd think about getting it again, because it's only forty bucks or so, but with the expectation that it might not last longer than 90 days.

The entire unit has to be carried from my bedroom to the bathroom to fill since water remains in the basin so it can be an awkward and wet experience! Also instructions say not to leave water in the unit...so this means you have to carry it to empty it...then carry it back to fill it. Just not convenient. I don't know if there are easier units out there but I was hoping it would've been easier to fill, much like a CPAP machine where just a water tank is carried. It is true the mist itself is very quiet and does a wonderful job but it occasionally gurgles as the water settles and that can be startling.
