Customer Review: Great little humidifier

What a pleasure to find such a well designed humidifier in such a small footprint. I wanted white, so I bought it elsewhere, but researched it on Amazon. The white is just perfect for my house. Simple, easy on the eyes, doesn't call attention to itself. I read the small instruction manual, filled it up and turned it on. That's it. It started immediately, the mist is totally adjustable, and Crane offers a filter to put it in if you want one (for hard water). I bought four of them and so far I am very happy with them. Having suffered through multiple large and heavy humidifiers in past years, I can say this one is a treat.
Update: It has been on for the past 12 hours, overnight, and it has raised the humidity level in my bedroom by 10%, from 30 - 40. I awoke able to breathe easily, with a lovely sense of cool air in the room. I had it set on medium outpoint, no drips. The dial is a bit tricky, as it does not match the photo on the instruction manual, and I have a feeling that the ones I received are an older model. The "dots" letting you know how strong the vapor mist is seem to be in reverse. The photo has a dial that has corrected that, I assume in the newer version. In any case, turning it to the right, clockwise, does increase the output. As for the little green light that is almost invisible in daylight, it becomes a large green glow in a dark room, and it bothered me as I was trying to get to sleep. I will have to wrap black paper around the container or move it to another room. I had hoped to keep in the bedroom. One more thing...the sound it makes. Some people say it's quiet, others find the sound soothing. I don't. I'm not a musician, but it seems to be a bit dissonant, like a minor note, and I find it a bit irritating.

Operating the Crane Drop Shape Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier requires only a few easy steps. Simply remove the water tank from the unit, unscrew the tank cap, and fill the water tank under a water faucet. Securely replace the tank cap, making sure the rubber cap seal is in place, and place the water tank back onto the unit. Place the humidifier on an elevated surface and set it to a medium output setting for comfortable room humidification.
Important Tips
If you have a lot of minerals in your tap water, it is recommended to use distilled water, filtered water, or a Crane demineralization filter (HS-3161). Place humidifier on an elevated surface and not on carpet, towel, or sensitive wood furniture.
Cleaning and Storage
Frequently cleaning your humidifier is very important. Crane recommends emptying the water in the basin daily, making sure you pour away from the fan air-outlet. Disinfect the water basin and tank weekly by using a white vinegar and fresh water solution, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse. For convenience, the Crane Descaler solution HS-1933 is also available. It is important to disinfect and dry completely before storage.
