I heard good things about the Professional Effects white strips. I decided to bite the bullet and buy them. It was a great deal coming from Amazon as opposed to a retail store. I just got my braces off a month or so prior to getting these so I wanted to freshen up my teeth. I was greatly impressed with the results. You really could see whitening after just 3 or 4 days. The strips really do seal around your teeth, which assures you are getting good whitening coverage.
I do have some staining on my teeth that the dentist said they would not be able to get, and he was right. As far as sensitivity goes, I did not experience anything too terribly bad. At least by my standards. I just got my braces off though, as I said, so that may have just conditioned me for some pain in my mouth : ) All in all, it wasn't bad. Had no problem drinking ice water or eating ice cream.
Overall though, I have gone up a few shades in whiteness and I am very pleased. I actually have a few strips left over that I felt I didn't really need to use, so I will save those for when I do another treatment. I used the strips as well as the Crest 3D whitening toothpaste and I have to say I am happy with the results.

First of all I am a barista at a coffee shop, so you can imagine how much (free!) coffee I drink and how my teeth would NOT be very white. When I first started hearing about these fancy white strips I wanted to try them, but instead opted for a cheaper store brand.
Store brand: chunky thick piece of wax that irritated my gums. They did whiten my teeth slightly, however, and I was pleased with the results.
Months later I found out a coworker was using these Crest 3D Whitestrips and her teeth were WHITE! I mean, WHITE WHITE WHITE.
Crest strips: Thin strips that conform easily to teeth (store brand strips were too thick and couldn't get into the grooves between the teeth). And within a few days my teeth were whiter than when I used the 2 week store brand strips.
**I have been using the Crest strips for two weeks now (not over the weekends to give my teeth a break) and am just now experiencing a bit of sensitivity. Because of this I will stop using them for a few days (2-3 days is recommended). However my teeth are now so white I don't even know if I should continue with them or just save them for later! (I have 9 left, enough to do some significant whitening later on.)

I originally bought the "weakest" verision of the Crest Whitestrips line to see if they were going to match up to the hype I had been hearing.
After using them for 10 days, I had modest, but noticeable, results. My biggest complaint was they did not hold onto my teeth very well at all and were incredibly messy to remove.
So after some research I bit the bullet and bought the "Professional" ones (reviewed here). I must say I am very impressed.
The "Advanced Seal" grips like concrete to my teeth, though I still don't recommend you go out in public with them on (haha). Removal of them, for me, still seems to be quite messy, but for the same reason that makes them great. They grip so well to my teeth I sometimes have issues removing them, but that is an observation. I would rather have them stay on then fall off.
As to my results? I really did notice a difference after day 3. I am currently about to finish my pack off and I am very happy with my results. I would like my teeth to be a little whiter, but the difference is still night and day. I will be buying more of these every time I need a touchup on my whitening.
I highly recommend this product.

These are by far the best over the counter white strips I have ever used. I literally started to see results not by day 3, but by day 2, and continue so see incremental improvements since. I have approx 5-6 days remaining. Unlike past products, these not only have superior whitening power, but they actually stay in place!! so much so that I sometimes need to peel them off my teeth with my fingernail. (previous products would slip and slide all the time). Of note, these have caused some sensitivity for me but not like previous products used. Furthermore, my experience is unusual in that I have fallen asleep with the strips on, for as long as 2 1/2 hrs. (shame on me!). I would expect that the sensitivity would be far less or none at all if I would use as directed (1/2 hr. only). Don't let the price dissuade you, these are worth it if you want noticeable and fast results. I recommend using sensodyne toothpaste before, during and probably after use. I also started using arm and hammer age defying toothpaste, has liquid calcium to strengthen enamel, and seems to have helped with sensitivity so far. Review: My yellow teeth aren't yellow any moreSummary: 5 Stars I had been thinking about whitening my teeth for quite some time but couldn't bring myself to spend $400 on the process at my dentist's office. My daughter (who had used an earlier version of Crest White Strips which we bought through our dentist) told me that her girlfriend loved the Crest 3D strips. They were incredibly easy to use. Since it is recommended that one uses the White Strips BEFORE brushing your teeth, I put them in as soon as I woke up. By the time I got ready in the morning, and checked on my girls, I was able to take them off. This version adheres very well to both the upper and lower teeth and is easy to remove. No bad taste, no mess, just great. I had no difficulty with increased sensitivity either. As the box claimed, I was able to notice a difference after just 7 days, and by day 20 the difference was significant. My oldest daughter still comments on my teeth now and again. You know, she'll say, "Dad your teeth really looked bad before, but now they look so white!" Honest kid. Bottom line is I highly recommend them and plan on using them again in 6 months. I'm curious to see what my dentist says when I go in later this month for my 6 month check up.
