I use this ball to help with my plantar fasciitis. As a roller, I love it; the firmness of the ball, combined with the bumpy nodules, makes it a great massager. As a way to ice my foot, it's good at first, but as the ice inside melts, the liquid moves to the lowest point in the ball ... which is not the side my foot is on. Continuously rotating the ball will keep the ice under your foot, but that can get tiring after a while. All-in-all, it's not much better than using a frozen bottle of water, but it's much prettier :)
