Tried several other OTC adhesives, this one beats them all short of lab-quality reliner such as those from Perma-Soft. Here are the instructions for use, since I always seem to mislay the insert:
How to apply Cushion Grip Denture Adhesive:
1. Warm the capped tube in hot tap water (not boiling) for 5 minutes. This makes Cushion Grip easier to apply.
2. Use the key. Attach enclosed slotted key to end of warm Cushion Grip tube. Turn key carefully squeezing out a ball of Cushion Grip 3/4 inch in diameter.
3. Apply to lower denture first. It's important to first seat your upper denture in your mouth without Cushion Grip on it. The lower plate must be thoroughly clean and dry. On lower plate start the Cushion Grip ball at one end of the gum groove. Spread ball with fingers until entire groove is covered with a thin, even layer of Cushion Grip. Press layer firmly to plate. Let set for 5 minutes. Then put in lower denture and bite firmly.
4. ...then apply to upper denture. Plate must be thoroughly clean and dry. With fingers, spread Cushion Grip ball from one end of gum groove to the other in a thin even layer. Be sure to cover entire back edge of upper plate with a thin layer of Cushion Grip. Press layer firmly to plate. Wait 5 minutes. Then inserting upper denture, press against front gum. Then, with thumb push up firmly to roof of mouth. Complete the seal by biting down firmly.
5. If you don't get enough Cushion Grip on your plates the first try, dry plate and apply more over the first layer.
To remove Cushion Grip Denture Adhesive:
Soak plates in hot (not boiling) water for ten minutes to soften old Cushion Grip application. Peel away the warm Cushion Grip from dentures with fingers or a wood manicure stick. A new application gives better results on a clean denture surface.
