The box of 12 D cells came open and pretty much demolished, the batteries were scuffed and in worse cosmetic shape than old ones I throw out!
Was it lousy packing? Don't know.
Were some of the batteries touching positive-to-positive? Didn't look it, or back they would have gone.
A stickon label on the box is coded for "Grainger", which makes me wonder if they are from an outdated stock liquidation of industrial distributor WW Grainger, which would be OUTRAGEOUS but explain the condition the box was in!
No more batteries from this vendor, and at a hideous price to boot!

Zero stars would be appropriate. THIS SELLER has the gaul to sell "USED" "DEAD" batteries. I only have an automatic waste can that uses "D" batteries. Cheap D's last me about two months and expensive ones like Duracell last about three months.
The "USED" "DEAD" Crap these people had the nerve to send me were in my waste can about 2 friging hours (1/12 of a day) and they wouldn't even open the lid on my can.
I am sending the damm things back but a_holes like these should have to pay for my time wasted on these. PRETTY SICK PEOPLE OUT THERE. These are one of them.

Like several other purchasers, the product box was scuffed up, split open, and the batteries were loose in the shipping box. They had obviously been opened. I have to wonder if they are used or even genuine. They have a Mar 2017 date but I haven't tried them yet to see if they have a charge. This seems to be a recurring problem with these. Come on Amazon, if you are selling seconds, be up front about it.Customer Review: dead batteries

these batteries were as dead as a door nail and the box was all beat up too. I should have got the batteries locally and did not want to spend money on shipping them back. I will avoid buying batteries from Amazon in the future.
