I have had this pill splitter/crusher for several years. It is very helpful in the slight flexibility of the cutting blades, allowing multiple pill sizes and shapes. It also has a storage area for pills, which I have not had use for, just as the part that can be converted into a drinking cup, but both are excellent ideas, especially for someone traveling.
The crusher works very well in my opinion. Most of the pill is crushed to a fine consistency with a few small pieces left in the mix. I am able to mix a crushed pill into tuna fish and get my cat to eat it. For those who have given pills to cats, you know that a cat can eat everything BUT small pieces of pills. My sister has never learned to swallow pills (she is 58) and she finds this a great tool for crushing meds she may have and putting them in jelly or such.
I highly recommend this product - good quality at a good price.
