After getting braces as an adult and suffering terribly with mouth pain the first few days, I ordered these to wear at home to give my lips a break from the metal rubbing on the inside. The product came and, though I didn't see a quantity listed in the product description, I received 5 sets. You then mold them to your braces by putting them in hot, then cold, water and pressing them against the surface. I found they didn't mold super well after being dunked in the cold water. I tried doing it without (careful not to burn myself) and they molded much better. You have to do it quick and be aggressive. If you don't spread them out quick enough they cool and harden and you've lost your chance. They did seem to help some with the rubbing, but didn't stay in place too well. I do think they'd be handy for someone who played a wind instrument or something, if you could get them molded well enough to stay put.
