Customer Reviews of Deva Vegan Vitamins Calcium, Magnesium Plus 90 Tablets (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Great Vegetarian Product
Summary: 5 Stars

Most pleased with these calcium pills although I was hesitant to purchase them for fear they might be difficult to swallow. I have had no problem swallowing them and they are more potent than many brands so I only have to take 3 daily as opposed to 4 to get the same amount of calcium.

I am also using Vegan Multivitamin and Minerals and Omega 3 DHA and plan continue all. This is my first experience with Deva products and I am happy to have found this top rated company. No more standing in the vitamin aisle looking for products that don't exist there!

Customer Review: Great Vegan Supplement
Summary: 5 Stars

Love the opportunity to have a vegan version of this supplement. Ultimately you want the calcium/magnesium, not all the non-vegan junk found in many other capsules.

Customer Review: At first I thought it was a good deal...
Summary: 4 Stars

On the recommendation of Dr. Oz (on TV, not personally), I started looking for a calcium/magnesium supplement to help with fat loss. Dr. Oz believes people should take 1200mg of calcium daily (with 600-700 mg of magnesium to prevent constipation from the calcium). One serving of the Deva Cal-Mag Plus provides 1000mg of calcium and 400 mg of magnesium, so while they don't match exactly, I figured two servings would cover it. (Plus, I'm a big guy.) Even though I'm an unrepentant carnivore, I like organic/vegan supplements. I thought I was getting a pretty good deal, even taking two of them a day, but I just realized that one serving is THREE pills. (It's right there on the label, so I take full responsibility for missing it.)

These pills are some of the largest I've seen, so I'm not looking forward to choking down four of them a day. (Thanks to another customer, I just realized that I don't have to take two full servings; four pills will give me 1332mg of calcium.) When I run out of pills I will evaluate whether they contributed to my goals, but at this point it seems likely that I will be looking for a more cost-effective (and smaller) solution. And I will read the label more carefully.

A bonus star to Deva for putting a picture of the actual label on Amazon, something most other vendors don't do. How can we make informed decisions without all the information? Well done, Deva.

Customer Review: Favorite calcium but a little expensive
Summary: 4 Stars

I found this to be an excellent source of calcium that you can use but it is priced a little more expensive than I would like. Calcium is important to help prevent osteoporosis.

Customer Review: Horse pills.
Summary: 2 Stars

If you are a horse, an elephant, or a sword swallower, you will find these pills easy to take. If you are a human with a normal gag reflex, you will almost lose your life every time you try to take one of these. And don't bother splitting them in half; they're somehow even harder to swallow that way! If these were smaller, they would get 5 stars. I would rather take 10 tiny pills than 3 giant ones and choke half to death. Sticking with my chewables.
