I recently became obsessed with knowing how to "properly" wash laundry (i.e. stain removal, making whites brighter, proper sorting, etc.)--and gone are the days of making 5 piles (black, darks, medium, whites, towels)...I wanted to really figure this science out...well, one of the products I have found that really makes a difference is BORAX! Give it a try...you will see--but follow the directions on the box...using more justs wastes it, and using less doesn't work as well.Customer Review: Great for the scalp

I suffer from an itchy scalp. I've tried every product under the sun to no avail. Someone mentioned adding a bit of Borax to my shampoo. To my surprise it worked! And with the amount you get in the box, it'll last forever. For the first time since I was a child I don't have to scratch my head every 10 minutes. The only puzzling thing is the price Amazon is charging. Walmart sells the same exact product for less than three dollars...Customer Review: Kills ants too!

Borax also makes a great natural ant killer. If you don't want harmful (to people) poisons spayed all over your house, just mix some borax with sugar, add a little water to dissolve them together and place in an old jar with holes punched in the lid. Put a paper towel inside so the ants can crawl in and out again.Customer Review: Great flea killer!

I've used 20 Mule Team Borax for decades to be safely rid of fleas. I sprinkle it lightly over my carpets after every vacuuming. Walking on the carpet pounds it into the carpet backing.
