Customer Review: Works great, but pay attention to the weight

Dome magnifiers are great - fool proof, distortion free, and bright. But the larger dome magnifiers are thicker - - - and heavier. That's the trade-off for getting a much larger field of view. Note that this product weighs a pound. After a long period of use, it can start to feel heavy.
If you plan to use this for long periods of time, consider the smaller, and much lighter, 2.5 inch magnifier, or maybe a 3 inch. You give up viewing area, but gain a magnifier that's easier to use when you aren't sitting at a table or moving over or around an irregular shaped object. But on a table, the extra viewing area is really nice to have.
I don't plan to give this one up any time soon.

I have given this as well as the same item in a larger size to both my parents. It is hard to find gifts for parents that are both affordable and really needed. This is perfect since most persons over 40 are experiencing more and more problems with seeing font sizes that seem to shrink more every year. I got two of this big one 3.5", I thought it made from glass but they built from clear acrylic.
For reading small fonts, hands written, newspaper this is perfect item, so go ahead and don't miss it, it made for this type of usage.
otherwize for light example or some concepts like what is in my mind :( I think it is not good enough, because it hot sensetive.
