Customer Review: Poor design, uncomfortable

I can understand the positive reviews here--the mask is well made, looks good, should be a winner. One big problem: that slight curve at the bottom of the mask, apparently intended to accommodate the user's nose, is woefully inadequate. It's as if the designers never trialed this design on a typical adult user.
The bottom of the mask presses annoyingly on the bridge of the nose. If you loosen the strap enough to alleviate the pressure, light slips through, defeating the purpose. In order to use this mask and fall asleep, I had to cut a large pyramid-shaped notch out of the bottom center, which solved the fitting problem nicely. Except now the integrity of the mask is compromised and it will fall apart all too soon.
Another lesser but noticeable problem: this mask is heavily padded, making it a warming device for your face. If you have no need for such, the imparted warmth is all too noticeable and further inhibits falling asleep.
Bottom line: nice features, well made, but a very poor fit.

Waste of money if the smell of the product is so strong you can't even sleep. Happy I didn't spend more than 6 bucks on it.
