I purchased the Locking Elevated Toilet Seat with padded removable arms and free shipping from Amazon.com on 03/05/2010. I have weak upper leg muscles that make it difficult for me to climb steps and get up from chairs and toilets. This toilet seat with the padded arms now makes it easy for me to get up from toilets. Most toilets are too low for me to get up from with little effort. In addition, many toilets in hotels and motels do not have fixtures around them that I can use my arms to 'push" myself up from the toilet with, such as a bathroom adjacient tub, sink counter, or the sink counter is too tall for me to use.
The Locking Elevated Toilet Seat is just what I need in a home and on the road traveling and stopping at hotels or motels along the way. The padded arms help me to easily 'push' myself up from the seat and the locking mechanism lets me easily lock the seat to the toilet for safety Medline Locking Elevated Toilet Seat with Arms. The easy to use seat lock lets me quickly install and remove the seat from the toilet, which is a good feature if you do not want to keep the seat attached to the toilet at home.
