I purchased this for a family member following surgery and it is
very helpful. Because it attaches to the bed frame and has adjustable feet
which stand on the floor, it is very sturdy. The assembly was a cinch and Eva Medical shipped it
to me in new condition very fast.

This product looks like a good idea. It's made of metal. It can rest on the floor and thereby offer better stability. BUT! It's being packaged, shipped, and sold with defects in the paint coating and dents in the metal.
The first time I received it, it arrived with the hardware's plastic bag torn open and all the hardware rolling around inside the box, and the coat of paint was chipped down to the metal on several areas and flaking off from the bottom sections. The replacement also arrived with the hardware out of its bag and rolling around the box, and the bars in the middle had chips in the paint and at least one dent.
After this, I canceled the order completely. With this item, "Buyer Beware" is a mandatory mantra.
