Customer Reviews of Duracell AAA Alkaline Batteries, 20 Count

Customer Review: expired
Summary: 2 Stars

I was disappointed with this purchase. After receiving the batteries I noticed that they were expired. They expired in June 2010 and I got them in July 2010. I bought 3 packs and returned 2 because I had already opened one. I don't usually have a problem when I purchase from amazon.com. I saw that it was a good deal on the batteries I should have know that "you get what you pay for".

Customer Review: Costco has a better deal
Summary: 2 Stars

The batteries work great but I was a bit disappointed when I saw a better deal at Costco. If you need them delivered, this is a decent deal, but they can be had cheaper.

Rated 2/5 based on value.

Customer Review: Frequent purchase until June '10
Summary: 1 Stars

I keep these on hand for all the remotes, the small scale I use in the kitchen and a couple of miniature flashlights the kids have in their rooms for emergencies. The most recent purchase was in June 2010 and the package indicated a shelf life of 7 years. Because I've never had a problem with this product in the past, I didn't bother keeping the receipt or packaging. I used only 4 of the batteries upon receipt of the newest order, and just tried changing the 3 batteries in the small kitchen scale. Not one of the remaining 7-year-shelf-life batteries worked. Just to be sure it wasn't the scale that had died, I tried switching the batteries in one of the remotes...didn't work. Tried different ones in the flashlights...didn't work. Guess a 7-year shelf life is too much to ask, but I only bought these in June...it is only mid-December. I'd like to think a battery would last longer than a few months.

Now I really need that scale for the kitchen as I have to home-cook for one of the dogs (allergies to processed food) so I need to weigh her portions but I'm afraid to reorder these...guess I'll look at a different product this time around.

Customer Review: Leaking Batteries
Summary: 1 Stars

I received the package and some of the cells had apparently leaked in transit. I had to throw 4 of them away. I'm a little hesitant to use the remaining batteries for fear that they might damage whatever device I put them in.

Customer Review: they leak bad!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

these batteries leaked in my nikkon flash unit in just 3 weeks and have completly destroyed it($ 290). another set leaked and damaged my remote control. STAY AWAY !!! .. I now use energizer and have not had any issues yet.
