Customer Reviews of Duracell Mobile Charger With 2AA Pre Charged Rechargeable Nimh Batteries, CEF23DX2Customer Review: Duracell Charger Summary: 3 Stars
This item and batteries included are alright for normal household uses, such as flashlights, remote controls, toys, etc. The charger is slow to charge and the batteries are not very high capacity. I typically use Ansmann 2600-2850 MaH rechargeable AAs with the Digispeed Charger, but I am a professional photographer, so capacity and recharge time matter quite a bit. This is not a product for the professional on the run.
Customer Review: Please God, save me from the odor of this charger! Summary: 3 Stars
I just received this product. I have not used it yet, but the smell on it is so bad that I think it is hazardous to my health. Why has only one reviewer mentioned this? It is nasty and I'm airing it out in a window. I'd rather not touch it for assuming it was made with some highly toxic chemical plastic compound. I've never smelled a consumer electronics plastic like this? Horrible!
Customer Review: do NOT recommend this charger for AAA Summary: 3 Stars
This charger charges AA's just fine. All my AAA, however, heat up during charging quite a bit... Needless to say, I stopped using this charger for charging AAA... only AA's.
Customer Review: Buyer Beware! "Mobile", but for EXTRA $$... Summary: 2 Stars
Duracell Mobile Charger With 2AA Pre Charged Rechargeable Nimh Batteries, CEF23DX2
I purchased this charger and paid the extra money (compared to the value charger) because it was supposed to be a smart charger (able to charge batteries individually, regardless of state, etc.) and, just as importantly, a MOBILE car charger for house or car. Well, I just got it today and guess what, no car charger included, despite the write-up saying you can use it in the auto. So, I guess this "mobile" charger is different than the others... IF you buy an extra auto adapter for $xx.xx. Very deceptive and crappy on Amazon's & Duracell's part, since they both highlight the use of it as a 12V auto charger and make no mention that the cord is not included. Aside from the USB charging port, (which I already HAVE a B&D USB charger in my car), this unit is no more "mobile" than any other charger. Really wondering what I paid extra for, since this charger costs more and comes with only two batteries compared to the usual four. If you want mobile, but something else or be prepared to pay more than you thought with the Duracell CEF23DX2.
