These earplugs are good but nowhere near as good as the newer purple variety of "Quiet Please" that Flents had started making recently. Now suddenly they've gone back to the older version with no explanation. They're not as flexible and they pop out of my ears. They still make their "Quiet Time" earplugs in the softer purple variety but they are not as effective. Why did they change back? I don't get it. And I can't find a website to complain about it.Customer Review: Uncomfortable pressure

I bought these for use during sleep because they are latex free.
They roll up and insert well, but expand with such pressure against the sides of the ear canal that I awaken with earache and sore jaw.
I've not had that experience with other ear plugs, and I may try trimming these, or go back to other softer ear plugs.

What the heck happened! I used to use these ear plugs all the time. I'd use them when mowing and weed whacking, and sometimes just to reduce the volume of my young children's 'happy playtime squeals'.
They used to work great. Now they not only don't seem to stifle the noise quite as well as they did, but they hurt. I found the plugs now put too much pressure on my ear canal and that they are VERY scratchy. [In fact, I put a pair in when I started the first paragraph and was forced to remove them just before typing this line -- they are 'that' uncomfortable.
One Star. Still affordable, the new formula makes these ear plugs too uncomfortable for this mom to use. They are scratchy and they hurt.
