Customer Review: Better as a gentle car wash!

I purchased this at Sam's Club for a very good price. It did NOT get our clothes clean, not even close. We have city water and an old washing machine, but Tide works awesome and just recently purchased some Charlie's Soap to try. I now use the Ecos outside in the driveway to wash my car with, it works good enough for that and won't contaminate our soil. Don't waste your money, it won't get your clothing clean. I don't have the money to buy new clothes either. No thanks Ecos.Customer Review: Stains Whites

I've bought about 9,000 things on Amazon, and this is my first review. When I went back to school, a lot changed about my clothes-washing regimen: new white undershirts, new washer-dryer, and new detergent. Unfortunately, after a few washes (color separated, hot water), I noticed my new undershirts were getting light colored stains that weren't coming out with subsequent washes or even bleach.
I found that my fabric softener cup was full of gunk from the previous tenant. I gave it a thorough cleaning (AKA threw it away), and bought all new undershirts. But they got stained too!
I bought some Tide with Bleach Alternative, and I no longer have the problem. I'm embarrassed to say that it took so long for me to find the culprit.
I don't think it is an earth friendly product if it makes whites one-time use only.

I wanted to like this detergent. Cheaper than the mainstream brands and labelled as environmentally friendly. However, it just does not get the laundry clean. After a couple weeks of using this, I noticed load after load coming out of the washing machine smelling almost as bad as when it went in. It does not get summer sweat stink out. Even using nice smelling fabric softener can't cover up the fact that the clothes aren't getting clean. Pre-washing and double washing didn't help either. I couldn't stand the stinky clothes any more and went back to mainstream, evil, bad for the environment laundry detergent that actually gets my clothes clean in one washing before I finished the bottle of lavendar ECOS I bought. What makes it especially bad is that I'm generally less sensitive about smells than most folks.Customer Review: Faded my clothes

I bought this detergent at Sam's Club after being stopped at a store display promotion. I probably would have never bought it otherwise. I loved that it was all natural and gentle and it had a lavender fragrance. I wanted to love it, but I didn't expect it to fade my clothes! I'm disappointed. I washed a brand new pair of dark slacks and a brand new baby outfit and both are now faded. Back to Sam's it goes.
