It's only fleece on one side, the other side (the one that goes onto the table) is a rough, generic backing material. I intended it to do dual purupose ontop of the person on the table and not just underneath. It can suffice, but an ordinary electric blanket works better. Also, the temp adjustment is hi or lo, nothing else, and it automatically kicks off high rather quickly. It's not machine washable. It's only advantage over an ordinary electric blanket is that it has elastic straps to fit over the table to hold it in place. I'd recommend a nice electric blanket instead; there are full fleece electric blankets for the same price.Customer Review: didn't last 30 days; defective item

i purchased this to use in my physical therapy clinic to heat the tables for my fibromyalgia patients and chronic pain patients...it worked great for the first 5 times i used it..now it will not heat up at all..item lasted just long enough so that i cannot return it for an exchange..60 days....very dissapointed..so are the patients that liked it
