I was looking for a bookstand to help my posture while I'm reading, especially reading textbooks or other heavy books. I settled on this Easy Reader Book Stand as not too cheap nor too expensive. The picture makes it look like it's made of wood, but it is actually a beige-colored plastic. Still, it is a more appealing color than the bright orange=red one. It comes folded up and can be used as a legal-sized clipboard. It can adjust to several angles and has a bottom lip to hold a book. It is study enough to hold heavy textbooks. It has an elastic band to hold a book open, but all the books I've used stay open without need of this which is good because it makes it easy to turn the page. I like that better than some other stands which clamp the book open so to turn a page you have to release the clamp and then refasten it. A book stand really does make it easier to read, and this one is certainly better-designed than the cheaper ones. More expensive ones only are better cosmetically.
