I had been looking for a dishwasher product that first actually cleaned the dishes and second that didn't have a horrible chemical odor. This one is environmental and lists all the ingredients on the package, most do not. With previous dishwasher products the silverware came out stained due to reactions in the washer and the glasses and dishes were spotted. Ecover with just four washes was removing the discoloring on the silverware and the glasses were cleaner than they had been in a long time. I placed a stainless steel pan with a copper bottom in the washer and the copper which had blackened and discolored from heat and use came out shiny. Ecover is great. The only smell it has is lemon, which is from the lemon oil in the product. Its not overpower and rather pleasant. I bought just one box to begin with as I had been burned before by over "environmental" dishwasher products, but after using this several times I ordered the pack of six boxes from Amazon. Since the stores don't seem to carry this product. Excellent dishwasher soap.
