Like just about everyone, I occasionally use an Ace bandage for some some kind of sprain or other injury. Years ago I bought a couple of them and have been using the same ones ever since. Unless you drastically stretch them or wear them down with use some how, they last pretty much forever. Every Ace bandage comes with a couple of the stretchy clips that are like the weakest link in some huge machine. You can still manage to use an Ace bandage without these clips, but you will end up twisting it and attempting to bury the last flap underneath somewhere. It neither holds the tension very well nor lasts that long before it slips out. Over time I either broke or lost the clips that came with mine, except for one. I quickly learned when I attempted to buy more that they were impossible to find in stores, and even online. Every so often in life you just run into something that you attempt to find or buy that you really need, only to come to grips with the fact that they are just not to be had anywhere, no matter how much you refuse to believe it can't be. These Ace clips are one of those items. It was like they are manufactured at area 51, and only a small handful were let out for packaging with bandages, and the rest protected under heavy guard. I mean I tried getting them everywhere, and there was nothing. I knew I could get more by buying another Ace bandage, but after a while it just became a mission. I really don't know exactly when they showed up here on Amazon, but all I can say is thank you! At last they are available outside the package and 20 at once even! I ordered two packs before Area 51 discovers the security breach. They are the very same sharp clips with the elastic band in between you get when you buy a bandage. Now my old Ace bandages are back at full strength the next time I need them. Finally! Most highly recommended...
