Customer Reviews of Emergen-C Vitamin C Fizzy Drink Mix, 1000 mg, Super Orange, 0.3 Ounce Packets 30 packetsCustomer Review: Emergen-C Relief Summary: 4 Stars
At the beginning of 2009, i would get at least one cold/flu a month and by the time July came around, i counted SIX times i had gotten sick since January. I was SICK of being SICK!! So I decided to try this Emergen-C stuff that everyone was talking about. I have taken Airborne before but never saw any difference. Plus I saw on the news that Airborne does not actually work.
So I went online and had a sample of each flavor sent to me. I decided I liked the Tangerine flavor the best. After purchasing my Emergen-C at the local Walmart, 10-13 dollars, I started taking it. Yes, the taste was pretty strong!
The package says to put the powder mix into a full bottle or glass of water. I have modified this ratio for taste purposes. I drink my bottle water until there is about 1/4 of the water left. And then I add the packet of Emergen-C. Close the bottle, and shake it. Then drink it like a shot. Follow it down with some more water. After a few times, you get used to the taste and I don't really need to follow it with more water all the time. Sometimes I just sip my little Emergen-C [shot] throughout the whole day. [hoping maybe taking the vitamin C gradually would help absorb the nutrients even more]
I only take this supplement when I'm working with people who are sick, or if I feel like I'm getting sick, or have a really tired day. Hoping that maybe I can gain some energy out of it!
(Also, I noticed that when I would be getting sick, if I eat a lot of sugar, like a chocolate bar or ice cream, it would depress my immune system and the vitamins that are suppose to help me get better, would be battling the sugars for absorption in my body. So I looked it up on the internet, sure enough, excessive sugars are bad! stay away to stay healthy!) [...].
I hope this review has helped!
Customer Review: Excellent Vitamin C Source Summary: 4 Stars
I am a huge fan of Emergen-C. I've tried all their flavors now. I use this in between meals to keep stomach from feeling hungry as well as to keep sicknesses away.
I was one of those people who would get a powerful sickness at least once every other month until someone recommended this to me. I've gone over 7 months now without having a sickness (ever since I found Emergen-C).
This stuff tastes great - just don't add too much water or it will taste very thin. For a regular glass - I fill it about 20% of water and then swirl it to mix in the Emergen-C.
Super Orange is not my most favorite. It is not very strong and gets watered out quickly if you add too much water. Lemon-Lime is better tasting and stronger in my opinion.
Customer Review: Can't LIVE Without It. Summary: 4 Stars
I personally don't like the taste or consistancy of this product. It reminds me of a fiber drink. It's not something you would drink for the sheer pleasure of it, but my husband absolutely could not live without Emergen-C. He drinks at least a packet a day, and I must admit...he hasn't had a cold and didn't get a flu shot...even in the winter season. He literally freaks out if we run out, so I've even subscribed, so he'll never be without it.
Customer Review: It's okay Summary: 4 Stars
Taste is good, I did get Energy from it, I don't think it helped me keep my colds away. I've been trying all sorts of things to help me fight off my colds. Nothing seems to be working.
I do recommend this as an Energy Booster.
