Customer Review: Do not let pain fears keep you away from this product

I am a *huge* pain wuss and everything I read about epilators (even this one) made me nervous. I decided to get one despite my fears because warmer weather is coming up and I'm tired of nicking myself shaving and wanted to be hair free for longer than shaving. I decided on the Emjoi Light Caress because it had the best reviews and I liked the idea that there was a light on it so I could see any stray hairs. Well, I got it yesterday and started on my leg--I didn't shower before or anything, I just started epilating. Okay, it's not the most comfortable sensation at first since it stings a little but I wouldn't call it painful. Plus, as you continue epilating, you start to get used to it. It took awhile to get my whole leg done but when I was done it was just as smooth as shaving. I had a few red dots that appeared after a few minutes but they were gone within the hour. The experience went so well I decided to try epilating the bikini area. I did shower and use their little buffing pad before doing that because I was still a little nervous having never done anything but shave that area before but I don't think I'll bother next time. This was a bit more uncomfortable but still nowhere near painful and, as before, I got used to the sensation as I went. I used the little green massaging fingers attachment on one side and the regular white on the other. I like the regular white attachment better since it seemed to take less time and that side had less redness when I was done. Since my skin is fairly sensitive, I noticed some red dots for a few hours after using this but now my skin is smooth and perfect and looks much better than when I shaved since I used to have a lot of redness and would have a bump or two for a few days. I really couldn't be more pleased by this product.
UPDATE: I've been using this product for just about three weeks now and I still love it. It's a little awkward getting the skin tight enough to really do an easy job in the underarm area but it just takes a little longer, that's all. I've only had to epilate my legs twice since the first time nearly three weeks ago (largely because I missed a giant part of each leg so I had to re-do them) and I only just had to re-do the bikini area. It's great and the results really last.
