I purchased the Emjoi Light Caress epilator this month and am so glad I did. After shaving for such a long time, it takes a toll on your skin especially the sensitive skin under the arm. I could just feel that area getting more and more irritated. You get the epilator, loofa, bag, cleaning brush, and massaging finger attachment. The best part is it has a light which makes it easier to see any hair you are looking to pull. The epilator has about 36 gold plated tweezer discs. It is rechargeable which is wonderful. It is best to charge it all night the first time you get it. It has two speeds. I prefer to use speed one in sensitive areas. You can use the product on the face, legs, underarm, and bikini area.
I have used it on my legs and underarm areas. I did have a few areas in which I got red bumps or a tiny dot of blood but I never stopped since I noticed the pain was gone within a second and the redness disappeared within a few minutes. You have to understand that you are pulling from the root and this is why you will see this happen but it was nothing to be alarmed about. Once I got to my second leg, I was adjusted by the minimal pain I got and was able to do it much quicker. In the armpit area, I chose to do it slower and more carefully since pulling the skin helps and hair growth direction varies. I can tell you my skin already had bumps in that area from skin irritation from shaving. By the second day it was nice and smooth with no red bumps. I will never shave again. It has been a week and I still see no hair growth in that area and my legs.
The pain level varies for everybody. The thicker the hair the more pain. However, waxing causes the same amount of pain. Problem with waxing is that hair is not always pulled the first time around leaving no option but to wax the area once more. With the epilator you have control of the pain and you will adjust to the pain. I have avoided epilators due to the pain factor but I have no regrets. The pain wasn't as bad as I believed. It just feels like a little burn or pinch at times but not all areas feel the same. It helps to use the massage tip once you have pulled the hair in the area if the pain was just unbearable. If you want to stop the hassle with shaving and only dealing with hair growth weekly or biweekly, then I suggest you get this epilator. I purchased the product at Amazon.com for $58.80. You won't regret buying this sturdy product.
