Customer Review: Decent Flashlight, Bad packaging

I bought this flashlight to replace my old Makita swivel head flashlight that had recently died because I dropped it from 3ft. The Energizer flashlight has 4 bright LEDs for decent lighting and a nice solid case. The head swivels nicely and it does feel like I can drop it from 15 feet and it will survive. I bought it for the sole purpose of working under the car. The flashlight itself is probably a 4 star, but I'm giving it 2 because:
The name of this product also describes the packaging. The packaging on this product is one of those packages that you will want to wear safety glasses and gloves to open. Getting the flashlight out took the use of a razor blade and wire cutter. I hate using razor blades for hard packaging because it's easy to slip and take the tip of your finger off like I have done many times. Getting the the batteries out is another monster. I hacked one side up with aviator snips and wire cutters, damaging the batteries in the process and used a small hack saw for the other side. I don't usually have such issues with product packaging but this was over the top and very hard plastic. If you can manage to get a utility to cleanly cut those two tabs off the back you may be better off, wire cutters and scissors do not fit. I managed to stumble across how to put in the batteries in while playing around with it but many people have issues with it (Search google if you don't believe me). You simply turn the bottom counter clockwise to open, remove that awkward battery holster, and insert the batteries.
