It would be really helpful if the description actually indicated whether or not a battery was included. The other folks commenting say this item does not include a battery and I believe them. Okay, so if I am going to need a battery, how about telling me what kind of battery this takes? Again, it's not in the description.
Maybe one of the folks that bought this item can add their battery comments as well as how good it floats (if it does), how good the beam is, and how waterproof it is if if falls out of the boat.
I did some additional research for the good of the community. Here is my understanding of the specifications. I don't own one yet, so I can't guarantee this info.
