Epilyt lotion is ideal to fix those hard, crusty cracks on hands in the winter time. Patients with eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, keratosis pilaris and dishidrotic eczema will benefit from Epilyt. For those prone to painful cracks, Epilyt, a propylene glycol-based lotion, helps to heal the areas. Epilyt contains an AHA, lactic acid, which also helps to soften these annoying fissures.Epilyt lotion is somewhat oily, and I recommend to my patients that they use it just once daily, usually at night. When combined in a routine that uses a heavy moisturizing cream such as Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, relief comes rapidly.
