Customer Reviews of Erasmic Shave Stick, Enriched Lather with HolderCustomer Review: Not impressed Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased 2 of these along with 100 Crystal DE blades. Gave one to a friend. Tried it. Was not impressed. Very thin lather which dries out to quickly on the face. Reminded me of Williams shaving soap. If you've used Williams, then you know what I'm talking about. I will use this only as a last resort, when I have nothing else.
Also the holder that comes with it is a cheap piece of red plastic with 4 prongs on it. The soap has 4 holes in the bottom, you place it on the holder and voila' it doesn't work. Don't buy this as there are far better products out there to use. Many of which are custom made. Try those instead.
Customer Review: Avoid this product at all costs Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this shave stick to round out an order for free shipping and to say it is a disappointment would be quite an understatement. In two plus years of wetshaving this is by far the worst product I've tried. Stick looks and feels like chalk, and lathers just about as well. Scent is not horrible , sort of like a milder williams but at 4 times the price why bother. As noted it lathers not well at all, requiring a lot of effort to get a mediocre lather that dries almost instantly. It also is totally lacking in cushion and glide. Did not even make it through one shave before breaking out a palmolive stick which is still tallow based and delivers a great shave, smells great, and gives more than enough cushion and glide for roughly the same price.
Customer Review: Not what I expected. Summary: 1 Stars
I had heard good reviews on Erasmic Shave cream, and thought the shave stick may be a nice change of pace. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The soap does in fact feel like chalk, and the holder does not actually work. The soap was chipping way large pieces, and was very fragile. The shave and lather were not good, requiring multiple passes with the stick just to create some basic lather. Threw it away after using it once.
Customer Review: Stick broke apart in my hand Summary: 1 Stars
Production of original-formula Erasmic shave sticks ceased in early 2009. The stick I received appeared to be in the original-formula packaging. The product had evidently been stored in a high-heat, low-humidity environment for an extended period. The stick had hardened to the consistency of chalk and split apart in my hand. It is not usable. If you are looking for the original-formula Erasmic stick, don't buy this one.
