I recently had to have surgery and my doctor told me to load up on vitamin C. So off I went to the store and bought some. After just a couple days, my stomach was hurting, and I had acid reflux, plus pain on urination, and just couldn't take them anymore. THEN someone recommended "Ester-C" to me...WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I have absolutely NO ill effecst from taking this brand of vitamin C. What they say is TRUE. It IS stomach friendly and non-acidic! I'll be back for more. I believe that Vitamin C supplements are essential to good health for those of us who cannot count on eating an orange every day. When I take these Ester-C tablets my sinuses feel more open, and I really do notice a difference. Some pretty smart scientists say that Vitamin C supplements are important, and I think they are right. These Ester-C tabs will not mess with your gut as do some crude Vitamin C tablets. This was recommended to me by my personal trainer. I take it with no ill effects or anything like that. The tablet is kind of big, a lot of people complain about it. It's fine to me, but if you have a problem with larger pills, consider the 500 mg dosing of this and just take two.Customer Review: Why buy it when its hard to swallow

I bought this product because I heard that there were different types of vitamin c supplements out there. Ester-C contains vitamin c that is in the form of calcium ascorbate which your body is able to absorb and keep in your body longer than other types of vitamin c.
I gave it one star because I believe that the quality of the product is good. But I was shocked to see how large the pill was and I really had a hard time swallowing it. My mom didn't even try. I had one experience where I tried to swallow it and because I couldn't the vitamin started to become grainy in my mouth. I then drank a lot of water and I was able to swallow it but because it became grainy, it got stuck in my throat and I was literally choking with water coming out of my eyes. It can be dangerous and I don't recommend you take this especially if you are a young child.
My conclusion is what's the use of this product being a high quality supplement when you can't even swallow it?

The 1000mg coated tablets of Ester-C is a clear Danger and a Warning should be issued immediately! In taking the 1000mg coated tablet, I almost choked to death. The tablet is to large and gets stuck in the esophagus and does not move down or back out easily.
I will be calling Amazon.com and NatureSmart LLC of Bohemia,NY and registering my dissatisfaction with this product.
